The boys in 1st and 2nd class have been very busy since they came back to school in September. They have been working very hard and learning lots of new things. At the start of October, we learned all about ‘Autumn’. We went on an Autumn walk, did some lovely Art and complete projects on the oak tree in SESE. Most recently we’ve been looking at the theme ‘Halloween’. We learned some scary songs in Music, had a visit from Winnie the Witch in Drama, learned lots of new vocabulary in Irish and carved a pumpkin when exploring Halloween traditions in History. The boys absolutely loved this topic!
Along with covering all these wonderful topics in class, the boys have been very active participating in Athletic lessons with Janet and playing GAA with Thomas down in Naomh Fionnbarra. Last week we also completed many activities for ‘Maths Week 2023’. This was great fun as we had to solve riddles, work out puzzles and we got to play lots of fun games.
Well done to all the boys on all their hard work in 1st and 2nd class so far. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable mid-term break.
