The first few weeks of school have been filled with exciting activities, creativity, and
achievements. Our students have been actively participating in a wide range of educational
and physical activities. Here’s a look at what they’ve been up to!

Fighting Words Workshop – Comic Book Creations
The children recently attended an inspiring Fighting Words workshop, where they got the
chance to unleash their creativity and storytelling skills. During the workshop, they:
– Created their own comic books, developing characters, plots, and illustrations.
– Engaged in various writing and illustrating activities, which helped to boost their
imagination and narrative skills.
We are proud to announce that their comic book has been posted on the Fighting Words
website, and we encourage you to check it out to see their fantastic work!

Healthy Kidz Programme – Staying Active in PE
Since the beginning of the school year, the boys have been participating in the Healthy Kidz
programme during their PE lessons. This programme is designed to promote fitness and
well-being, and the boys have been:
– Engaging in various physical activities that improve their coordination, stamina, and
teamwork.
– Participating in fun and educational games to help them understand the importance of
staying active and healthy.

GAA Training – Every Tuesday
Our boys have also been improving their Gaelic football skills with GAA training every
Tuesday. These sessions provide them with the opportunity to:
– Learn the fundamentals of Gaelic football, including techniques, tactics, and
teamwork.
– Develop their Hurling and Football skills with their classmates while staying active.

Hurling Challenge Match – A Victory to Celebrate!
We are thrilled to share that the 4th and 5th class boys recently played a hurling challenge
match against the Gaelscoil, and our team came out victorious! The boys showed great skill,
sportsmanship, and determination on the field, and we couldn’t be prouder of the boys.

Music Generation Programme – Exploring Music with Jen
For the past three weeks, the children have been participating in the Music Generation
programme every Thursday morning with Jen, our music instructor. During these sessions,
they have been:
-Engaging in a variety of music activities, including learning about rhythm, melody,
and musical instruments.

– Exploring different styles of music while developing their creativity and musical talents.

The children have been thoroughly enjoying this programme, and we look forward to seeing their musical skills continue to grow over the coming weeks.

School Choir – Singing at the Opening Mass
A number of boys from the 4th and 5th classes have joined the school choir and had the
opportunity to sing at the Opening School Mass. We are excited to see them continue to
contribute their voices to school events throughout the year.
